Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Certified Forklift Operator with Reach Truck to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently move, locate, and transport products within our distribution center. This role requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Current openings for 2nd shift temp to hire 3pm-11:30pm Monday- Friday with some weekend work required.
Responsibilities
- Operate Forklifts, Reach Truck, Pallet jacks, and order pickers to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Perform order picking tasks accurately and efficiently to fulfill shipping and receiving needs.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
- Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure smooth operations and adherence to safety protocols.
- Execute heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring safe lifting techniques are used at all times.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers.
- Experience in shipping and receiving processes within a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, including inventory management and order fulfillment processes.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
