Job Purpose: Two to three sentences describing the overall purpose of the job
Accurately mix and serve beverages to guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
Job Responsibilities: Maximum of ten responsibilities, in order of percentage of time spent on functions from longest to shortest; do not list anything that doesnot represent at least 10% of the job's time. Please include supervisory responsibilities.
1.
Greet guests, take beverage orders from outlet service staff or directly from guests.
2.
Mix drinks, cocktails, and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with company standards.
3.
Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
4.
Handle an assigned house bank and follow all cash handling procedures.
5.
Collect payment for drinks served and balance cash receipts.
6.
Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests.
7.
Serve snacks or food items to guests seated at the bar where appropriate.
8.
Clean bar, assigned work area and area tables as needed.
9.
Assist with training and ensure that new employees are fully oriented to proper procedures and policies.
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus and promotions.
10.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications: Describe the minimum qualifications needed to complete the job responsibilities.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience
Minimum one year bartending experience in a high volume operation preferred. Good communication skills required.
Licenses/Certifications
Food Handler's Card and Alcoholic Beverage Commission Card (ABC card) may be required.
