Einstein Pediatrics is a vibrant, community-based pediatric practice known for delivering exceptional care to children and families across Northern Virginia. We’re looking for an experienced, certified Medical Assistant who is passionate about pediatrics and ready to play a key role on our clinical team.

KEY PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Greets patients and prepares them for the provider’s examination by screening patient/parent for appropriate information, obtaining vital statistics appropriate for age, gender, and type of visit.
· Performs general nursing care for patients, including administration of immunizations, antibiotic injections, capillary labs, respiratory treatments, EKGs, spirometry testing, and other prescribed treatments under the direction of the providers.
· Prepares equipment and assist providers in various in-office procedures including wound care, suture removal, chemical cauterization, impacted earwax removal, ear piercing, etc.
· Document and update patient medical histories, immunization records, and other clinical documentation in compliance with practice templates and protocols.
· Observes, records, and reports patient’s condition, adverse reaction to medication or treatment to the provider.
· Provides educational teaching, aids, and information to parent/patients by telephone or in person.
· Maintains confidentiality concerning patients medical and financial information - patients protected health and financial information may not be disclosed without prior written authorization from the parent/guardian (or patient if he/she has reached majority).
· Active participant with the clinical staff who effectively works as a team to ensure safe and efficient patient-centered care.
· Maintains exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials, ensures cleanliness of exam rooms, and assists in care and maintenance of supplies and equipment in clinical areas.
· Perform any related work as required.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION AND CREDENTIALS:
· High school diploma/GED required (associate degree preferred)
· 1 year experience, preferably in a pediatric medical group practice
· Certified medical assistant
· CPR certified required
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
· Competency in operating medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
· Knowledge required to maintain a safe work environment.
· Apply and adapt nursing principles, methods, and techniques to deliver effective patient care.
· Maintain quality control standards, respond calmly in emergencies, interpret and follow protocols, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively while ensuring patient confidentiality.
Hours:
- M: 12pm-7pm
- T: 9am-5pm
- W/Th: 8am-4pm
- F: 7am-3pm
- (1) Saturday per month – 8am to 12pm

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 70 – 80 per week
