Looking for Medical Assistant for our Columbia and Greenbelt clinic with ability to travel to other clinics in the Maryland area.
This position will assist the physician or advanced practice provider throughout their shift. The primary goal of a Medical Assistant is to increase the productivity of the provider so that he/she can focus on attending to the patient
· Accurately and thoroughly document medical visits and procedures as they are being performed by the physician/provider to include patient medical history and exam, and treatments performed
· Complete provider dictated diagnoses, prescriptions and instructions for patient or family members for self-care and follow-up
· Ensure all clinical data, lab, or other test results, the interpretation of the results by the physician are recorded accurately in the medical record.
· All other duties as assigned
· Proficient in typing and good at spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
· Basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments to the extent required.
· Must be able to listen to complex medical information and summarize in a clear, complete, and concise fashion
· Ability to anticipate physician/provider needs to facilitate the flow of the clinic
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
