Overview
We are hiring Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Medical Technician (CMT) at Golden heart healthcare services. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring timely documentation.
- Support medication administration under supervision or according to facility protocols while adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques.
- Assist with medical procedures including catheter care, phlebotomy, wound care, and specimen collection in compliance with infection control standards.
- Observe patients closely for changes in condition or behavior, especially in dementia or Alzheimer's care units, and communicate findings promptly to nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by following proper sanitation procedures and safety protocols for infection control and patient safety.
- Support patients with mobility challenges using specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts while ensuring proper body mechanics.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in settings such as ICU, emergency medicine, behavioral health units, pediatrics, or geriatrics to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care.
- Document all patient interactions thoroughly in medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and documentation standards.
- Participate in ongoing training opportunities to enhance skills such as CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS), aseptic technique, and specialized care like hospice or trauma center protocols.
Skills
- Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including seniors, children, individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and vital signs assessment techniques.
- Experience providing specialized care such as Alzheimer’s/memory care or dementia support; familiarity with Level I/II trauma centers or acute care environments is advantageous.
- Ability to perform phlebotomy procedures safely when required; experience with catheter care and medication administration is preferred.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA privacy rules and infection prevention practices including aseptic techniques.
- Skilled in patient service tasks including mobility assistance using lifts or transfer devices; compassionate caregiving for patients with disabilities or complex needs.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within healthcare teams across outpatient clinics, inpatient units, home & community care settings or post-acute facilities.
- Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations typical of emergency medicine or urgent care environments while maintaining professionalism.
