Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth restaurant operations. This role involves supporting the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily activities, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of food quality and service. Safe Serve Licensing is necessary, we will support the process if license is not currently in place.
Duties
- Assist in managing restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, and service delivery.
- Oversee inventory control and ensure proper stock levels are maintained.
- Utilize POS systems for efficient order processing and cash handling.
- Train and develop staff in food handling, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Supervise team members to ensure adherence to food safety standards and quality control.
- Manage shift schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels during peak hours.
- Provide leadership in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive atmosphere for both staff and customers.
- Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process of new team members.
- Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager on budgeting and financial management to optimize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or as an assistant manager within quick service or fast food environments.
- Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices.
- Familiarity with inventory management and cost control processes.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries and complaints effectively.
- Experience with training & development of staff to enhance performance and service quality.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management and supervising staff.
- Knowledge of hospitality management principles is preferred; fine dining or casual dining experience is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business needs.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 25 per week
