Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Retail Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, assist with product merchandising, and ensure the smooth operation of daily store activities. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems for transactions, including cashiering and cash handling
- Conduct product demos and upsell items to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain merchandising displays and ensure products are well-stocked and organized
- Assist with stocking shelves and inventory management
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Support with store cleanliness and organization to create an inviting environment
- Handle phone inquiries professionally following proper phone etiquette
- Assist in supervising team members when needed, including overseeing product demos and sales activities
Skills
- Experience with POS systems and cashiering procedures
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for sales and inventory purposes
- Bilingual skills are a plus for serving diverse customers effectively
- Demonstrated upselling techniques to increase sales volume
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail sales operations
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory counts
- Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership roles within the team
- Familiarity with grocery store operations is beneficial but not required
- Professional phone etiquette to manage customer inquiries efficiently
