The Medical Assistant position is open to candidates who are looking for a full time position in the healthcare field. Located in Centreville, Virginia, this position is an amazing opportunity to work in a solid team environment. We are looking for a Medical Assistant with good organizational and interpersonal skills who wants to further their skills in a medical practice specifically working with children. The Medical Assistant will gain valuable peds experience in an office that provides expert and compassionate medical care for our patients. Our office is a dedicated team working together with Medical Assistant to support each other with focus on career training and mentorship. Skills: Patient intake, EMR Systems Office Practicum, Google Suite, administering vaccines, communicating with doctors with labs for patients, triage calls, facilitating messages from the script line.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
-Administer Vaccines
- Schedule patient appointments and manage medical records
Experience:
-MA/CMA
- Completion of a medical assistant program or certification preferred not required
- Previous experience as a medical assistant or in a similar role is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
