Cafe Manager – Starbucks Operations (Gopuff Licensed Store)
Gopuff is seeking a Cafe Manager to join our Starbucks Operations team. We’re looking for a self-starting, entrepreneurial leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role requires drive, grit, positivity, and a passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience.
As a Cafe Manager, you’ll lead a team of Lead Baristas and Baristas, overseeing daily Starbucks licensed store operations. You’ll bring proven leadership experience, a strong understanding of retail or hospitality operations, and the ability to identify opportunities that drive both profitability and team success.
Ultimately, the success of the cafe rests on your ability to inspire, coach, and lead a team that is hyper-focused on creating the perfect Starbucks experience for every customer.
Responsibilities
- Lead all Starbucks operations including deliveries, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
- Drive performance in key metrics (Production Time, Order Defect Rate, Cost Per Order).
- Train and coach baristas to prioritize safety, follow standard work, and deliver consistent results.
- Ensure financial success by managing labor, productivity, and expenses within budget targets.
- Maintain compliance with Gopuff, Starbucks, and legal standards while upholding food safety and quality.
- Monitor and enforce safety and HR compliance measures, including regular quality assurance checks.
- Develop action plans to improve performance, culture, and financial results.
- Oversee scheduling and ensure proper coverage during all shifts, peak periods, and weekends.
- Use data and observations to make informed decisions that enhance operations and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with leadership to forecast, schedule, and optimize labor within budget.
- Cascade new initiatives, coach and develop team members, and set clear goals to drive operational excellence.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of management/supervisory experience (1+ year in QSR or cafe preferred).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and inspire teams.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Skilled in conflict resolution and navigating change.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with experience in a sales or customer-focused environment.
- Proficient with Google Suite, email, and workplace technology.
- Proven ability to improve processes and efficiencies while leading in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
