We are looking for a full-time on-site Bottling and Packaging Team Leader to perform a range of tasks related to getting our products out to the door to our customers. We're also looking to recruit an entirely new Bottling and Packaging Team. So the successful candidate will be able to both initially learn and take on Team Member Responsibilities (see below) as the new team is being recruited, and then immediately transition to taking on Team Leader Responsibilities (see below) including the training, oversight and management of the newly recruited Team Members.
Basically, this is a "Learn. Do. Teach. Manage." opportunity to quickly (i) learn what we do and how we do it, (ii) build a small team from the ground up, (iii) manage the team.
You will be working directly with the company Founder and CEO and other senior management.
Team Member Responsibilities:
- Sanitize product containers (bottles, jugs, buckets etc.) prior to filling with product
- Accurately pour products into containers and fill containers using automated bottling equipment
- Cap and seal containers
- Carefully apply product labels and batch labels to containers
- Assemble boxes, and package products per instructions we provide
- Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met
- Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records
- Clean & sanitize containers, lines, and work areas using cleaning solutions and hand tools
- Move inventory using hand carts, and manual pallet jacks (for heavy items, training provided)
- Assist with loading on trucks
- Perform other similar duties as assigned
Team Leader Responsibilities:
- Recruit Team Members
- Train Team Members
- Oversee Team Members
- Maintain inventory of all bottling, packaging and shipping supplies
- Order all necessary bottling, packaging and shipping supplies from vendors
- Create and manage all work schedules for Team Members
- Manage Amazon inventory levels and determine when and how many products need to be sent to Amazon using forecasting tools
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience
- Must have a college degree
- Must be computer efficient with Excel, Word, etc.
- Must be on-time all the time
- Must be able to read, speak, and understand English fluently
- Must be organized and detail-oriented
- Must be a team player
- Must thrive in fast-paced environment
- Must not mind getting a little dirty
- Must be able to handle the physical workload (lift 50-pound packages without injury)
Other information:
- This position is based in North Bethesda, MD and cannot be performed remotely
- This is not a standard 9-5 position
- Work attire is very casual - location is a warehouse environment
