As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Driving Role in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This is a driving post, requiring you to conduct patrols by vehicle while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
- Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with controlling access to restricted areas as required by site-specific policies.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and security-related observations.
- Support emergency response efforts as directed by Allied Universal and/or site leadership.
- Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while representing Allied Universal.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- You must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
