Medical Assistant – Pain Management (Full-Time)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Medical Assistant to join our Pain Management team. The ideal candidate will support our providers in delivering high-quality care to patients experiencing chronic and acute pain. In this role, you will assist with clinical tasks, patient coordination, and ensuring a positive patient experience throughout their treatment journey.
Responsibilities:
- Room patients, record vitals, update medical history, and prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Assist with interventional pain management procedures within the office, adhering to sterile technique and safety policies
- Perform medication reconciliation and coordinate prior authorizations as needed
- Schedule follow-up visits, diagnostic studies, and referrals to support comprehensive care
- Manage patient communications, triage calls/messages within scope, and ensure timely provider follow-up
- Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and inventory according to clinical standards
- Accurately document all clinical interactions in the EMR
- Support the team in promoting a safe, efficient, and patient-first environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a Medical Assistant certification program preferred
- Prior experience in pain management, neurosurgery, orthopedics, or another specialty strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced clinical setting
