“Please note: The salary range above represents this position’s earning potential. The anticipated hiring range for this position will be Grade 10: $46,644 - $63,538, Grade 12: $49,928.00 - $76,018.00We are looking for a customer service-oriented individual to join our store front operation which provides clothing and equipment to MCFRS members. To be effective in this position you will have strong customer service and communication skills, be detail oriented, and be confident using a computer-based issuing system. The employee must maintain the ability to move heavy objects by lifting, pushing, rolling, etc., either independently or using warehouse equipment for assistance. Staffing hours will fall between 6 am and 4 pm with occasional evening hours and additional overtime required one Saturday a month.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The Supply Technician works in a team-based environment and duties include, but are not limited to: Researching, ordering, receiving, stocking, and inventorying of firefighting protective clothing and equipment, as well as work clothing worn by career, civilian and volunteer personnel. Issuing stocked items to walk in customers using a computerized software system. Accepting freight deliveries and organizing warehouse inventory using a forklift, palletjackor other equipment. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment using accepted storekeeping and warehousing practices. Making occasional deliveries to various worksites within Montgomery County.
