Location: Frederick, MD
Contract Duration: 10 Weeks
Pay: Up to $24/hr
Schedule:
Monday & Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Lunch: 12:00 – 12:30 PM)
Wednesday: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Lunch: 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM)
Thursday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Lunch: 2:30 – 3:00 PM)
Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (No lunch)
Position Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to provide both front- and back-office clinical support, ensuring smooth patient flow and high-quality care. This role involves direct patient interaction, clinical procedures, administrative duties, and collaboration with the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet, room, and prepare patients for examinations
Take and record vital signs
Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture
Administer vaccines and assist with clinical procedures
Conduct EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
Schedule appointments and manage phone communications
Support front- and back-office operations as needed
Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR
Provide patient education and support
Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)
2–3 years of total experience preferred
Medical Assistant certification preferred
Occupational Health experience preferred
Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required
EMR experience required
Strong communication, attention to detail, and computer skills
BLS or CPR certification
Required Skills:
