Job Summary
The Quality Control Checker is responsible for managing the complete Check-In/Check-Out process for all incoming and outgoing trailers at the facility. This role ensures accurate documentation, proper product handling, and adherence to safety and quality standards. This role may also provide support to the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager as required.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily Check-In/Check-Out procedures for all vendors accessing the back lot.
- Conduct daily Check-In/Check-Out for all trailers entering or leaving the facility.
- Inspect trailers for defects, damages, and interior cleanliness.
- Record pallet counts for all incoming and outgoing trailers.
- Ensure drivers properly complete all required logs.
- Verify returned product entries by comparing returns with “load ins.”
- Log Bill of Lading (BOL) information using company software.
- Scan and email BOL documentation to appropriate teams.
- Post BOL details on the Trailer Board for the Receiving team.
- Log breakage, throw-away items, and out-of-date product.
- Gather product for donations or other designated recipients.
- Sort, stack, and wrap returned crates and pallets.
- Stage and bring in returned product.
- Repack and return damaged product as needed.
- Unload pallets and crates from bulk trailers in a timely manner.
- Bring in and charge driver pallet jacks.
- Assist with FDA cleaning tasks as needed.
- Maintain the warehouse in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
- Comply with all company policies and regulatory standards (OSHA, DOT, safety requirements, GMP, AIB, Pepsi standards, and applicable laws).
- Wear required personal protective equipment at all times.
- Assist with special projects such as reorganizations or the creation of new processes as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Moderate computer skills required (data entry, email, basic software use).
- Forklift/Pallet Jack certification preferred; company will certify qualified applicants.
- Ability to work in a warehouse around year which is not climate controlled
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. with proper training and equipment.
- Must be able to wear safety-toed shoes.
