Part-Time Property Management Associate (Entry-Level / Early Career)

This is a part-time, contract position (approximately 20 hours per week) with a flexible schedule, primarily afternoons and weekends.

Who This Role Is For

Key Responsibilities

Assist with daily operations of apartment communities, including leasing support, and resident communication
Support efforts to maximize occupancy, rental income, and overall property performance
Coordinate maintenance requests and work closely with contractors and tenants to ensure timely issue resolution
Perform and assist with minor repairs (e.g., replacing light bulbs, smoke detectors, blinds, basic upkeep)
Help oversee unit renovations and ensure timely unit turnovers
Conduct weekly property and unit inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and curb appeal
Assist with marketing & showing vacant units and preparing market-ready apartments
Support administrative tasks such as tracking expenses, maintenance logs, and documentation
Available for on-call needs, occasional emergencies, and weekend coverage as required

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework or degree a plus)
0–2+ years of experience in property management, real estate, construction, or customer service
Background in the trades or construction is a strong plus (handyman work, renovations, maintenance, etc.)
Comfortable using basic technology (email, spreadsheets, property management software preferred)
Strong communication skills and a professional, service-oriented attitude
Reliable transportation and ability to travel between properties
