Join our dynamic team as a DOT Driver & Event Labor Assistant, where you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth transportation operations and event setup. As a DOT-certified driver, you'll operate box trucks while also assisting with the setup and removal of equipment for events.

Extraordinary, LLC is a full-service event design, planning, production, and entertainment firm. We offer a wide range of audio, visual, staging, lighting and entertainment. We deliver a broad set of events, including concerts, galas, brand activations, conferences, and trade shows. We are headquartered in Gaithersburg, MD.
Responsibilities:
- Driving box trucks to event locations and to pick up/drop off rental equipment around the DMV.
- Working as part of a team to load, transport, assemble, and disassemble equipment for events.
- Staging gear and loading trucks.
- Ensure that every event is properly staged according to its resource list.
- Assisting with the setup and strike (tear-down) of events.
- Unloading trucks and storing gear in designated areas, maintaining accurate inventory.
- Following instructions and working efficiently to meet timelines.
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Seasonally long hours (late nights, early mornings, weekends).
- Occasional travel opportunities may arise for events outside the DMV service area.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license, with a clean driving record. *REQUIREMENT*
- DOT License with significant experience driving box trucks up to 26 feet in length *REQUIREMENT*
- No prior event-related experience required; however, previous event or general labor experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to drive up to 10 hours a day.
- Ability to stand at least 8 hours a day.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including long hours and weekends.
- Ability to follow instructions and work quickly.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to reliably commute to our warehouse in Gaithersburg, MD.
Schedule:
- Weekend availability is required, with weekday work opportunities based on seasonality.
Location:
- Work will primarily take place at event locations throughout Washington DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
