Join our dynamic catering team as a Catering Assistant and be a vital part of delivering exceptional food experiences! In this energetic role, you will support the preparation, presentation, and service of food for a variety of events, ensuring every guest receives top-notch hospitality. Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including plating and garnishing dishes to meet high standards of presentation
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously to guests during events or in dining areas
- Support banquet setup and breakdown, ensuring all equipment and serving stations are organized and clean
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards throughout all stages of food handling and service
- Help manage dietary requirements by accurately following special menus or restrictions as specified by clients or supervisors
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging positively with guests and addressing their needs promptly
- Help with packaging and distributing catering orders
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Ability to assist with food preparation and handling safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and hygiene standards in the food industry
- Previous restaurant or catering experience is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate loads as needed
