Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team at DTL Sports Center. Within the facility there is a full-bar area, where guest and participants can enjoy. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring that our guests have an enjoyable experience.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments through the POS system.
- Conduct opening and closing activities to open and/or close for the day.
- Monitor inventory levels of drinks and supplies, restocking as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with catering events as needed, providing excellent service in various settings.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling practices.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service when applicable.
- Manage time effectively during busy shifts to ensure timely service for all guests.
Requirements
- Previous experience in bartending or food service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests.
- Familiarity with an Go Tab POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of brewing techniques and beverage preparation methods is advantageous.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently manage multiple tasks during peak hours.
- A valid food handling certification may be required based on local regulations.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
