As a Delivery Helper, you'll assist with loading, unloading, and transporting goods, supporting our drivers to deliver a seamless experience. Responsibilities
- Assist delivery drivers with loading and unloading packages from box trucks and commercial vehicles using manual handling techniques and equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Support route driving by helping to organize deliveries efficiently and ensuring timely completion of daily routes.
- Help with heavy lifting and moving items safely, adhering to proper safety protocols to prevent injuries.
- Collaborate with drivers to load and unload goods at customer locations, ensuring accuracy and care during handling.
- Maintain clear communication with drivers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered during the shift.
- Ensure all packages are handled with care, properly secured during transit, and delivered in excellent condition.
- Follow safety procedures diligently when operating equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks and when performing manual lifting tasks.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in customer service or warehouse environments is preferred but not required.
- Experience with commercial driving or working as a courier is a plus; valid driver’s license required.
- Familiarity with box trucks, manual transmission vehicles, or load & unload procedures is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical moving tasks safely and efficiently.
- Comfortable working with equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks; certification is a bonus but not mandatory.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to support delivery drivers during route driving and package handling.
