Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. A successful candidate will have counseling skills working in office with children. Duties
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and intake interviews to determine patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to enhance patient engagement and promote positive behavioral change.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in electronic medical record (EMR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, social workers, educators, and community agencies to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
- Provide crisis intervention and crisis management support during emergency situations to ensure patient safety.
- Engage in case management activities including patient advocacy, resource referral, and follow-up care coordination.
- Participate in ongoing professional development by staying current with medical terminology updates, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding standards, and emerging best practices in mental health treatment.
Experience
- Valid licensure as an LCSW or LPC with demonstrated experience in psychotherapy and mental health counseling.
- Proven expertise working with children & family counseling, special education settings, or home & community care environments.
- Experience providing services for individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
- Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation of patient care activities and medical records management.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health conditions such as PTSD, addiction counseling, geriatrics including Alzheimer’s care.
- Hands-on experience conducting diagnostic evaluations using ICD coding standards (ICD-10/ICD-9) and CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance requirements concerning patient data security and confidentiality. Pay: $44.95 - $54.13 per hour
