JOB TITLE: Day Shift Material Handler LOCATION: Warrenton, VA
REPORTS TO: Warehouse Supervisor FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY:
Material Handlers operate a yard jockey to position 48' tractor trailers to and from loading docks. In addition, the role loads and unloads beverage delivery trucks, as well as operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks to pack soda orders and stack cases on pallets. They also unload incoming pallets of beverages from production facilities, assist in repairing damaged goods inventory, and participate in clean-up duties. Operating a handheld scanner will help ensure accuracy. Assist in cleaning up damages.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate yard jockey to reposition 48'tractor trailers within loading yard area.
- Builds sales orders using automated equipment or hand built to be loaded onto beverage delivery trucks
- Operates forklift and electric pallet jack, and must maintain OSHA Forklift Certification
- Follows OSHA guidelines, to prevent injury to self, others, and damage of product while operating machinery
- Repairs damaged goods inventory – rinses product when necessary, and disposes of trash appropriately
- Unloads delivered product from delivery trucks
- Be efficient using Easy Pick, the warehouse software management system
- Follows company policies and procedures in accordance with established regulations (i.e.:
Good Manufacturing Practices, OSHA, FDA, PepsiCo and AIB Standards, FSSC 22000, etc.)
- Loads product to delivery trucks
- Operates warehouse handheld scanner for picking product
- Follows company policies and procedures that are in accordance with established standards
- Assist cleaning warehouse at the end of the shift
- Additional duties may be assigned when workload is light

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- High school education and/or GED equivalent preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older to operate motorized equipment
- Must submit to a drug screen
- Pass the background check
- Able to work prolonged periods of time in an environment with fluctuating temperature ranges
- Able to stand prolonged periods of time
- Able to frequently lift up to 35 pounds with or without assistance
