The Genius Genus | Belle View Shopping Center
Pay: $18 – $22/hour depending on experience and responsibilities
About the Role
The Genius Genus is a modern houseplant shop focused on helping people grow confidently. We’re building more than a store — we’re creating an engaging, educational, and community-driven plant experience.
This role blends plant care, customer experience, and retail sales. You’ll help customers select plants, maintain plant health, support events, and contribute to a welcoming and visually inspiring store environment.
Our goal is for every customer to have a premium, personalized experience — one that feels thoughtful, helpful, and worth coming back for.
We carry a wide variety of plants and typically only stock a few of each — often no more than 6 of any one plant. With new inventory arriving frequently, team members should be comfortable learning to identify plants and understanding their general care.
Some team members may grow into Key Holder responsibilities, including opening and closing the store and working independently.
This is a small, team-driven environment where reliability and consistency are essential — each scheduled shift matters and contributes directly to the success of the store. We are looking for someone seeking a consistent, long-term role who takes pride in their work, values reliability, and wants to be part of a dependable, team-driven environment.
