Negril is seeking a dynamic and experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician Lead to oversee, coordinate, and perform maintenance activities within a manufacturing facility. This role is vital in ensuring the continuous operation of production equipment, maintaining safety standards, and optimizing machinery performance. As the leader of the maintenance team, you will leverage your technical expertise to troubleshoot complex systems, implement preventative maintenance strategies, and foster a culture of safety and efficiency.
Position Summary:
The Industrial Maintenance Technician maintains production and quality standards by ensuring the safe and efficient operation of machinery, mechanical equipment, and facility electrical systems. This role performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to minimize downtime and support continuous plant operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications, diagrams, and engineering standards.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Diagnose equipment issues by observing operations and identifying root causes.
- Dismantle equipment, remove defective parts, and install repaired or replacement components using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
- Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to determine dimensional changes and ensure proper fit.
- Adjust functional components and control instruments to maintain optimal performance.
- Fabricate repair parts using machine shop tools and equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, labor hours, equipment history, and parts usage.
- Monitor and manage parts and supply inventory; anticipate needs and assist with ordering and verification of materials.
- Support production teams by communicating preventive maintenance procedures and downtime updates.
- Prepare and maintain maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing performance data and trends.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Continuously improve technical knowledge through training, workshops, and cross-training opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with maintenance team members, production staff, support departments, and external partners.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and basic programming aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of facility electrical systems
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; or minimum of three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior electrical work experience required
- Current Journey Worker or Master Electrical License is a plus
Working Conditions
- Frequently requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and working in tight or elevated spaces.
- Work environment includes exposure to elevated noise levels, damp or slick floors, temperature extremes (0°F–110°F), and potentially hazardous electrical, mechanical, and chemical conditions.
- Work schedules and hours may vary based on production needs; flexibility is essential.
- Work may be performed at heights using ladders and aerial lift platforms
Pay: From $105,000.00 per year
