JOB SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on Agency owned and leased facilities, in addition to performing grounds maintenance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, painting, and repairs as necessary.
2. Complete inspections of residential facilities with Facilities Manager.
3. Respond quickly in the event of an emergency/unscheduled tasks and follow safety protocol.
4. Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
5. Perform regular preventive maintenance on residential facilities.
6. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual issues to the Facilities
Manager.
7. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
8. Ensure minor repairs are done in a timely and frequently basis.
9. Monitor contractors that work in Agency facilities.
10. Grounds upkeep cleaning, removing trash, and performing basic landscaping or snow removal.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Fully cooperates with the organization's compliance and quality improvement program.
2. Performs additional related duties as assigned by their respective supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1. Knowledge of maintenance and upkeep of equipment and facilities.
2. Knowledge of mental health and concepts on mental health.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. High school Diploma.
2. Minimum three (3) years’ experience in maintenance and repairs.
3. Effective verbal and written communication
4. Must be able to lift to 55 pounds and climb stairs.
5. Must have a valid driver's license.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
