Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the food service industry, with proven management skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of restaurant management, including staff supervision, financial oversight, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. Your leadership will drive operational excellence and foster a welcoming environment for both guests and team members.
Duties
- Oversee all restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service across all departments.
- Lead, motivate, and develop staff through effective training, coaching, and performance management.
- Manage inventory control, food safety protocols, and cost management to optimize profitability.
- Supervise food preparation, kitchen operations, and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Implement staff scheduling, shift management, and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Conduct interviewing and hiring processes to build a skilled and cohesive team.
- Monitor financial performance including budgeting, sales analysis, and expense control to meet business objectives.
Skills
- Extensive experience in food service management within quick service, fast food, casual dining, or fine dining environments.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales processing and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
- Demonstrated leadership in supervising staff training & development and team management.
- Expertise in inventory control, food safety standards, and food production processes.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively.
- Experience with catering, banquet services, bar operations, or hotel hospitality is advantageous.
