We are seeking a skilled Sr. Catering Sales Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the culinary arts, exceptional customer service skills, and experience in managing catering operations.
Duties:
- Has strong knowledge of food and wine/beverage.
- Is passionate and enthusiastic about hospitality business exemplary customer service
- Has a thorough knowledge of property, space, capacities, and concept/food style (menus)
- Has an excellent knowledge of sales/negotiation/closing process/ budgets (costs and revenues)
- Solicits new business through our membership and repeat club events
- Has superior writing skills and is proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Knowledge of Jonas is a plus.
- Is a proven leader, motivator, and team player.
- Will have worked in at least the following departments or positions: Catering, F&B Sales, Banquets, and/or Food and Beverage management
- Leads by example, holds employees accountable, and follows our Mission, Core Values, “Serve Those Who Serve” guest services system, Policies and Procedures.
- Has a professional appearance and is fun and outgoing person.
- Must have experience of properties of similar size and quality.
- Position "may" be required to work a varied schedule which may include evenings, nights, and weekends.
Experience:
-5+ years of related experience in the hospitality or Club industry.
-Proven experience in catering, food service, or hospitality-Banquet industry
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle client requests professionally
- Familiarity with banquet operations and event planning-- is mandatory
