Duties
- Manage daily bar operations, including supervising staff, overseeing food and beverage service, and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards
- Lead staff training and development to promote excellent customer service, efficient food preparation, and proper food handling procedures
- Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including cash handling and reconciliation at shift end
- Ensure the bar maintains a clean, organized workspace aligned with food safety regulations and hospitality standards
- Coordinate with kitchen management to ensure seamless food production, catering services, and banquet events when applicable
- Interview potential team members, participate in hiring decisions, and supervise staff scheduling to ensure optimal coverage during shifts
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant or bar management within casual dining or fine dining environments
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
- Expertise in POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
- Excellent leadership skills with experience in staff training, supervision, and team management
- Solid understanding of inventory control, budgeting, and food management practices
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally
- Background in hospitality management with experience in kitchen management, catering, banquet services, or hotel environments is highly desirable
