Bilingual Front Desk Receptionist / Medical Assistant

We are seeking a dependable and professional bilingual team member who is fluent in both English and Spanish to join our growing healthcare team. This individual will assist with both front desk responsibilities and clinical medical assistant duties to help provide excellent patient care and customer service.

Position Responsibilities

Front Desk Duties

Greet and check in/check out patients
Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients professionally
Schedule appointments and verify insurance information
Collect copays and maintain accurate patient records
Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and patient communication
Maintain a welcoming and organized reception area

Medical Assistant Duties

Room patients and obtain vital signs
Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
Document patient information accurately in the EMR
Assist providers during patient visits as needed
Administer injections and perform basic clinical procedures within scope
Maintain exam room cleanliness and stock supplies

Qualifications

Fluent in both Spanish and English required
Previous medical office experience preferred
Medical Assistant certification is a plus
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and teamwork skills
Experience with athenahealth is a plus

Schedule

Monday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM (8-hour shift scheduled within these hours)
Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Office is closed on Saturdays, with an occasional short Saturday morning shift approximately every 6–7 weeks
