Pastry Sous Chef / Pastry Lead

The Corner Pantry is a high-volume café and full-service catering company seeking a talented, driven Pastry Professional to lead and grow our pastry program.
We are a family-owned and operated business with a fast-paced café, brunch, Grab & Go, and catering operation focused on quality, consistency, and creativity. If you are passionate about scratch baking, organization, and producing exceptional pastries in a high-volume environment, we’d love to meet you.
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday 7 AM–4 PM
- Saturday Brunch 8 AM–3 PM
- Early morning shifts required (as early as 5 AM)
- Sundays always off
Responsibilities:
- Execute daily pastry production for café, Grab & Go, and catering
- Prepare baked goods, pastries, desserts, and specialty items with consistency and attention to detail
- Assist with seasonal menu development and new product creation
- Maintain production schedules and pars for multiple business channels
- Ensure quality control, organization, cleanliness, and food safety standards
- Manage prep efficiency in a fast-paced environment
- Support BOH team and leadership with production planning
Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum 3 years pastry or baking experience required
- Professional kitchen or bakery experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry fundamentals, and production systems
- Experience with high-volume prep and scratch baking
- Creative, organized, and detail-oriented
- Able to work independently while supporting a larger team
- Comfortable with early mornings and physically demanding shifts
- Catering or brunch experience is a major plus
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Stand for extended periods
- Bend, reach, and move quickly with urgency
