Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately using the Toast POS system.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to ensure an exceptional bar experience while taking orders, answering questions about drinks, and making recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and supplies, adhering to food safety and food handling standards.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cashiering duties and processing payments swiftly.
- Monitor guest behavior to promote a safe environment, especially in nightlife or nightclub settings, while ensuring compliance with alcohol service regulations.
- Restock bar inventory as needed, track sales using retail math skills, and assist with catering or banquet events when required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours and special events such as banquets or private parties.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bartender or in food service within fine dining establishments or nightclubs; banquet experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with the Toast POS system for order entry and sales processing.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during high-volume periods.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and responsible alcohol service practices.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate order totaling.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Experience in catering is advantageous; retail math knowledge is beneficial for inventory management.
