Overview
Join our team during an exciting transformation as the hotel prepares for a major renovation beginning in August 2026. This is a unique opportunity to be part of building an elevated, world-class Sheraton dining experience focused on exceptional hospitality, creativity, and memorable guest service.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of menu items to enhance guest experience
- Accurately take food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and communicated effectively to the kitchen and bar staff
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and sanitation in accordance with food safety regulations
- Upsell menu items by recommending popular dishes, beverages, or specials to maximize sales opportunities
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout their visit
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems and perform basic math calculations for billing purposes
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining a clean dining area to support smooth restaurant operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and cashiering
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a positive attitude
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience is a plus; culinary or kitchen experience is beneficial but not required
