Schedule:16-20 hours per week. Wednesday availability is a must.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and empathetic Bilingual Medical Assistant (English/Spanish) to join our growing part-time team. In this role, you will be the bridge between our providers and our Spanish-speaking patients, ensuring clear communication, accurate medical charting, and a welcoming environment. The position has clinical duties and administrative duties.

Position Accountabilities and Performance Objectives:

To assist the physician and team with chaperoning, translating, and helping with in-office minor procedures.
To assist the patient with changing dressings and applying post surgical garments.
To participate with the office team and maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment
Bilingual Support: Translate and interpret medical information accurately between English-speaking providers and Spanish-speaking patients (in-person and over the phone).
Keep exam rooms fully stocked and always ready for patient care
Maintain professional image through proper attire and grooming
Respond to telephone inquiries.
Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/;physician/pharmacy calls
Administrative Duties: Manage patient scheduling, verify insurance, and update electronic health records (EHR).
Reception Assistance.
General assistance with any patient or team member.

Qualifications:

Language: Must be fully fluent in both English and Spanish (written and verbal).
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinic.
Education: High school diploma; graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program is required.
Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through AAMA, or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred but not required].
Skills: Computer Proficiency, Organizational Skills, Affability

Pay: $19.50 - $24.00 per hour
