Location
This is a full-time position (40 hours a week) based in Sterling, VA. Some travel may be required, and hours can fluctuate depending on project needs.
Job Duties
In this role, you’ll take on a variety of tasks, supporting residential properties while collaborating with team members on new projects in commercial, government, and residential environments. This is a self-starter position reporting directly to the company’s Project Managers. If you thrive in a hands-on, on-the-job training environment, this role is for you. With a flexible work schedule, a supportive team, and opportunities for growth, this position offers excellent resume-building potential. You’ll gain experience in many areas of the company and work with diverse clients.
Responsibilities
· Perform a range of building and property maintenance tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and more.
· Respond promptly to service requests and report progress accurately.
· Manage inventory and maintain the cleanliness of the maintenance shop.
· Adhere to company safety and environmental policies.
· Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions with residents and customers.
· Work a fixed Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM schedule, with on-call availability for emergencies.
Qualifications / Must-Have Experiences
· Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, etc.
· Previous experience in Property Management is a plus.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· High school diploma or equivalent vocational training.
· Proficiency in operating maintenance equipment and tools.
· Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call availability.
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, capability of bending, twisting, reaching, and repetitive hand use.
· Comfort with pushing and pulling when needed.
