Overview
We are seeking a safety-minded Meat Cutter helper to operate our bandsaw and assist with daily meat processing tasks. This role is essential to our production line and requires someone who can work accurately, maintain sanitation standards, and follow USDA guidelines.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial meat-cutting bandsaw.
- Cut, slice, and portion beef, lamb, poultry, and other meats according to company specifications
- Maintain compliance with USDA food safety rules and New Horizon Food SOPs
- Follow HACCP procedures, plant sanitation standards, and personal hygiene rules
- Inspect meat for quality, yield, and proper trimming
- Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and work areas after use
- Assist with packaging, labeling, weighing, and storing finished products
- Communicate with supervisors and work efficiently with the production team
- Follow all safety rules including PPE, blade handling, and machine operation.
Requirements
* Previous experience with a meat bandsaw or meat processing equipment preferred, but not needed. (training available)
* Understanding of USDA or HACCP regulations is a plus (training available)
* Ability to work in a cold environment (35–45°F)
* Able to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety
* Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions in English
* Willingness to learn and grow within New Horizon Food, Inc.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
