Administrative Aide - Bookkeeper:
We are a family office-type employer located in the Greenspring Valley area north of Baltimore, Maryland. We are searching for a full-time employee to handle: (1) administrative assistant duties; and (2) bookkeeping, bill-paying, and banking relationships.
This is not a work-from-home position, but some schedule flexibility can be accommodated. For the right candidate, we are prepared to discuss whether a 30-hour work week, rather than 40 hours, could be sufficient.
The position requires good written and oral communications skills and a cordial and professional demeanor in dealing with others, in addition to common sense, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Ease in representing the two principals in electronic, written, and telephone communications with others is a must.
Skilled experience and competence using office technology is required, including fluency with the Microsoft and/or Apple office suites, e.g., Word, Pages, QuickBooks, Excel, Calendar, and Numbers. Successful prior experience in an office or an environment in which these skills were required and demonstrated is key.
The administrative element of this position includes calendar management, correspondence and communication with outside parties, document preparation and organization, information gathering and research, travel arrangements, and coordination with contacts, vendors and contractors. The bookkeeping portion includes straightforward account management, including reconciliations, bill review and payment, expense tracking, and the ability to put together a financial overview of account balances and pending obligations. No tax or investment expertise is required.
The AA/Bookkeeper will occupy a private office that contains office technology and equipment. Our current long-term employee occupies this office, handles all of the duties set forth above, and will be available to assist in a transition.

We offer competitive compensation for this type of position, which will take experience into account. We will provide a health and dental insurance stipend as needed, the terms of which will be discussed at the time of an interview. References are required.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
