Cotton & Reed, DC's first rum distillery, is hiring bartenders for our flagship tasting room cocktail bar!
We run a high-volume craft cocktail program in the Union Market District, emphasizing draft cocktails, frozen drinks, and the versatility of rum. Full-time and part-time positions are available.
Tips are pooled in the house on a daily basis. Cotton & Reed guarantees at least $20/hr for service shifts (rare, but if tips don't get you there, we make up the difference).
Full-time staff (30+ hours) are eligible for health insurance with the company paying 75% of the premium. The company matches 401(k) contributions up to 4% of pay.
Holding an ABRA Manager's license or having the ability to get an ABRA Manager's license within 30 days is required of bartenders. The tasting room is open 7 days a week, opening at 4pm Monday through Friday and noon on the weekends; closing at midnight Mon-Thurs; 2am Fri-Sat; and 10pm on Sunday.
