CDL Class A Driver (Manual Transmission Required)
We are seeking a reliable CDL Class A driver to operate a manual-transmission semi-truck with a 48-foot dump trailer hauling municipal waste between Alexandria, VA and Richmond, VA.
Job Duties:
- Drive a manual-transmission semi-truck with a 48-foot dump trailer.
- Pick up loaded trailers from a waste transfer facility in Alexandria, VA.
- Transport waste to a landfill in Richmond, VA.
- Move the truck within the transfer station as needed while waiting in line for loading.
- Ensure the trailer is properly tarped and secured before leaving the facility.
- Position the truck and trailer at the landfill for unloading using the landfill's trailer lifting system.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
Requirements:
- Valid CDL Class A license.
- Must be legally permitted to operate manual-transmission commercial vehicles (no automatic transmission restriction).
- Experience operating tractor-trailers required.
- Ability to safely tarp loads and work independently.
- Dependable and safety-focused.
Work Schedule:
- Approximately 6–9 round trips per week between Alexandria and Richmond.
- monday-saturday
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $1,400.00 - $1,800.00 per week
