Love working with dogs and people? Happy Tails Pet Resort is looking for a part-time Front Desk Assistant to join our Office team!

If you want to work in a fun, fast-paced, dog-centered career, then this is the perfect job for you! We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and professional team member to assist our company's Receptionists and Reservation Specialists in providing exceptional customer service to our canine guests and their owners.

This is a fantastic entry-level position in the customer service / animal care industry, perfect for college students during summer + Holiday breaks where hours are more available during Summer / Peak season but flexible in the off-season/ school year.

Shifts include:

Weekday opening shifts starting at 6:45am
Weekday closing shifts ending by 7:30pm
Sunday afternoon shifts starting at 11:45am or ending by 5:30pm
Some possible Saturday shifts

Some Front Desk Assistant responsibilities include:

Assist our Office Team members to complete administrative duties such as filing, copying, reports, emails, return calls, etc
Work with our computer software to update client records and other assigned tasks
Provide exceptional and professional customer service when interacting with customers in-person, on the phone, and through email
Help maintain the cleanliness and safety of the front Lobby and other staff areas
Potential for cross-training on basic kennel duties such as feeding, bathing and safe dog handling

Qualifications include:

Must be over 18 years old and able to lift up to 50 lbs or more
Must have own transportation, be punctual and dependable
Must love and respect dogs; no fear of dogs
Power to stay calm and think clearly in stressful situations
Ability to recognize basic canine behavioral signs
Friendly and professional manner with customers and co-workers
"Team Player", follows directions, and is self-motivated
Tolerance for working in extreme weather conditions and ability to bend, kneel, and stoop on a regular basis if needed
Administrative + Animal Care experience highly requested, but not required (paid on-site training for all new staff)
Limited Vacations allowed during Peak Seasons (Memorial Day through Labor Day)
Must be available to work most major Holidays (Holiday Pay is provided)
