Position Summary
We are looking for a motivated and dependable Warehouse Lead to become a key part of our operations team. This hands-on role combines warehouse responsibilities with local driving duties to support the efficient movement of goods in and out of our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, loading and unloading materials, and delivering products safely and on time to various destinations. This position requires strong attention to detail, a proactive work ethic, and the ability to handle equipment and vehicles responsibly. Additional tasks may include general warehouse, facility and lot maintenance, as well as other duties as assigned. Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:
- Safely load and unload products from delivery vehicles and warehouse storage locations.
- Operate commercial equipment includes forklifts, trailers, and stack body dump trucks in accordance with safety protocols and company policies.
- Drive company vehicles, such as box trucks and stake body trucks, and dump body trucks, to transport goods and materials to various locations, including company satellite sites.
- Tow and maneuver trailers as needed for deliveries or warehouse operations, including travel to satellite locations to support logistics and distribution needs.
- Accurately track inventory movements and maintain up-to-date delivery logs and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations while operating equipment and driving vehicles.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment, reporting any mechanical or safety issues promptly.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to support efficient day-to-day operations.
Qualifications
Minimum Required:
- Minimum 2 years of experience supervising or leading teams in warehouse, logistics, or maintenance operations. Proven ability to delegate tasks, train team members, and ensure workflow efficiency.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience in warehouse settings, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping/receiving, and facility upkeep.
- Certified or previously certified in forklift operation, with proven ability to safely operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and trailers in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Valid driver’s license with a minimum of 1 year of experience driving commercial vehicles with trailers (2+ years preferred).
- Completion of OSHA 10-hour safety training or equivalent, with a solid understanding of workplace safety protocols in both warehouse and vehicle operations.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with assistance. Must be capable of performing physical tasks related to warehouse, facility, and lot maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately track inventory, maintain records, and follow schedules under minimal supervision.
- Demonstrates reliability, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Willingness to perform other duties as assigned, including general facility and lot maintenance.
