Job Summary
Staging Design DC is looking for a reliable and hands-on Warehouse Assistant to support our warehouse operations, furniture maintenance, organization, cleaning, and basic repairs.
This position is ideal for someone with warehouse experience who enjoys working with their hands, has basic knowledge of tools, furniture repair, carpentry, or general maintenance, and takes pride in keeping things clean, organized, and in good condition.
Our company works with furniture for home staging, events, and client projects, so it is important that our inventory is clean, protected, organized, and ready to be delivered or installed.
Duties
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
- Organize furniture, rugs, pillows, accessories, and warehouse materials.
- Clean furniture before and after deliveries, pickups, destages, and events.
- Inspect furniture when it returns to the warehouse and report damage, stains, missing parts, or repair needs.
- Perform basic furniture repairs such as tightening screws, fixing loose legs, replacing small hardware, touching up minor scratches, and assisting with simple carpentry tasks.
- Help assemble and disassemble furniture as needed.
- Prepare furniture for upcoming deliveries, installations, pickups, and events.
- Wrap, cover, and protect furniture for storage and transportation.
- Assist with loading and unloading furniture when needed.
- Support the warehouse team with daily tasks and special projects.
- Follow safety procedures when handling furniture, tools, equipment, and warehouse materials.
- Notify management of any warehouse issues, damaged items, missing inventory, or safety concerns.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of furniture repair, carpentry, handyman work, or general maintenance.
- Comfortable using basic tools such as drills, screwdrivers, hammers, measuring tape, pliers, clamps, glue, touch-up markers, and small hardware.
- Ability to inspect furniture and identify damage, stains, missing parts, loose legs, broken hardware, scratches, or items that need repair.
- Ability to perform basic repairs such as tightening screws, replacing hardware, fixing loose legs, assembling furniture, touching up scratches, and assisting with small wood repairs.
- Ability to keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to notice when furniture is dirty, damaged, misplaced, or not ready for use.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Must be able to work independently and complete assigned tasks without constant supervision.
- Must be able to work as part of a team and support movers, warehouse staff, and operations when needed.
- Must be proactive and willing to help in different areas of the warehouse.
- Must be able to communicate clearly with management and report issues when needed.
- Must follow safety procedures when handling furniture, tools, trucks, equipment, and warehouse materials.
- Must be able to wrap, cover, and protect furniture properly for storage and transportation.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
