Join Our Growing Integrated Behavioral Health Team
On-Time Medical Group is seeking a compassionate and recovery-oriented Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) to join our expanding outpatient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment program in Randallstown, Maryland.
As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will work alongside physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, addiction counselors, and care coordinators to support individuals on their recovery journey. Your lived experience, encouragement, and advocacy will play an important role in helping patients engage in treatment and achieve long-term recovery.
This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful impact while working in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide peer recovery support services to individuals receiving outpatient substance use disorder treatment.
- Build supportive, recovery-focused relationships using lived experience.
- Assist patients in identifying personal recovery goals and developing wellness plans.
- Encourage treatment engagement, appointment attendance, and medication adherence when appropriate.
- Support individuals participating in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and Ambulatory Withdrawal Management (Level 1-WM).
- Help patients identify and overcome barriers to recovery, including transportation, housing, employment, and access to community resources.
- Educate patients on relapse prevention, coping skills, and recovery supports.
- Connect patients with mutual support groups and community recovery resources.
- Coordinate with counselors, therapists, medical providers, and other members of the treatment team.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
- Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement activities.
Qualifications Required:
- Maryland Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) certification
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Lived experience in recovery with a desire to help others achieve recovery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred
- Experience working in:
- Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment
- Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
- Outpatient behavioral health
- Ambulatory Withdrawal Management
- Co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
- Knowledge of ASAM Levels of Care.
- Familiarity with Maryland behavioral health resources.
