Overview
The Maintenance Helper is an entry level position. The Maintenance Helper is responsible for assisting the Engineer with basic plumbing, lighting, electrical duties and other assigned building related tasks. The Maintenance Helper will also assist with routine inspections, preventive maintenance tasks, and other general building duties such as painting and housekeeping as assigned by his/her supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Pick up trash
- Change light bulbs
- Paint
- Operate a snow blower or pressure washer
- General maintenance
Education/Experience:
- A high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- This is an entry level position but any general building trade experience is desirable.
- Possess adequate sight, hearing and speaking capabilities to maintain a safe working condition and be able to distinguish wire colors and component color codes.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing and perform basic arithmetic calculations.
- Must be reliable, dependable with excellent attendance, flexible and versatile.
- Ability to climb portable and fixed ladders and work at heights.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
