About the Role
Moorenko's Ice Cream is looking for a reliable delivery driver to handle wholesale deliveries to our retail, restaurant, and other accounts across the DC/Maryland area. You'll be the face of Moorenko's to our wholesale partners, so we're looking for someone who's dependable, physically capable, and great with people. This is a part-time position - approximately 5 hours per day.
What You'll Do
- Load, transport, and deliver wholesale ice cream orders to accounts on a set route
- Operate a refrigerated delivery vehicle (cargo van / box truck - no CDL required) safely and professionally
- Lift and move product cases and equipment, including frequent handling of heavy and frozen items
- Maintain cold-chain integrity throughout the delivery process
- Build and maintain positive relationships with wholesale customers - handle order confirmations, questions, and occasional issue resolution at the point of delivery
- Ability to maintain product presentation at customer locations
- Keep accurate delivery records and report inventory or vehicle issues promptly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked vehicle
What We're Looking For
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Comfortable operating a large (non-CDL) vehicle such as a cargo van or box truck
- Able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work in cold/freezer conditions
- Strong customer-service attitude — friendly, professional, and reliable
- Punctual and self-directed; able to manage a route independently
- Ability to follow food-safety and handling guidelines
Nice to Have
- Prior delivery, route, or food-service experience
- Familiarity with the DC/Silver Spring metro area
Pay: $23.53 - $28.34 per hour
