Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator

ABOUT THE ROLE
OKI General Trading Inc is looking for a Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Virginia. This role manages the full flow of goods through our warehouse — from receiving and inspection through export packing and outbound shipment — and works closely with our procurement team and reputed third-party freight forwarders to keep every order moving. OKI works primarily to support the procurement and logistics requirements of the U.S. Department of State, US Prime Contractors and organizations with the United Nations. This role involves efficient professional communication skills and adaptability working with clients and vendors both within the US and globally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Receive incoming shipments and inspect all goods for condition and accuracy, working with the procurement team to confirm items received are correct.
· Maintain complete logistics documentation and a daily record of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
· Prepare daily reports on material status — ready, arrived, packed, shipping, and shipped.
· Work with the team to plan outbound shipments on a weekly basis.
· Pack materials to meet export compliance requirements for air and ocean freight.
· Coordinate with third-party freight forwarders on carrier, ocean, and air freight bookings, and negotiate shipping rates.
· Operate a forklift to move shipments within warehouse and storage areas.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree required.
· 3–4 years of relevant warehouse, logistics, or export experience preferred.
· Forklift certification required.
· Working knowledge of export packing requirements for air and ocean freight.
· Experience coordinating with freight forwarders and negotiating shipping rates a plus.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Able to perform physical warehouse work.
· Ability to work in person, full-time, at our Virginia location.
· Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.
· Good communication skills and professionalism when speaking with clients and corresponding by email.

· This position includes an initial six-month probationary period. Continued, permanent employment is contingent on a satisfactory performance evaluation at the end of this period.
