JOB TITLE: Day Shift Material Handler Supervisor LOCATION: Warrenton
REPORTS TO: Material Handler Manager FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY:
The main duty of the Day Shift Supervisor is to ensure the proper loading of delivery
trucks. They need to be knowledgeable on warehouse functions
and work closely with the loading crew. The supervisor will advise the team on their
workplace goals, delegate responsibility, and help improve their performance when the
situation calls for it. The ability to work closely with other departments is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Verify delivery trailers are loaded correctly at the end of the shift.
· Track the productivity of loading crew and ensure they are fulfilling their responsibilities.
· Track the pallets coming in and out of the warehouse to and from the market.
· Work with evening shift to monitor the dates on products.
· Overtime required as needed.
· Oversee the cleaning and general housekeeping of the warehouse.
· Track the daily breakage of product occurring in the warehouse.
· Build truck layout on WebTL to prepare them for loading.
· Train employees on the building or orders, operation of fork trucks, and loading of trailers.
· Invoice sale orders.
· Process ASN and EDI orders on eVIP.
· Be the first line of mediation for any interpersonal conflicts that may arise between team members.
· Implement disciplinary actions when needed.
· Look out for the general safety and well-being of the crew in the workplace.
· Enforce OSHA and FDA guidelines.
· May on occasion be asked to build sale orders.
· Must have a general knowledge of the employee handbook.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Be at least 18 years of age.
· Able to work for prolonged periods of time in an environment with fluctuating seasonal temperature ranges.
· Able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
· Able to frequently lift up to 35lbs without assistance, and up to 50lbs occasionally.
· Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems as they arise.
· Strong leadership skills.
· General computer literacy skills, must be proficient with the use of email, MS Word, Excel, etc.
· Ability to communicate clearly and delegate responsibility.
