Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Fast Casual Cashier to join our vibrant food service team. This role is perfect for individuals with a passion for customer service, food industry experience, and a positive attitude. The cashier will be responsible for providing exceptional service in a quick-paced environment, ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and courteously, creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness of the cashier station, dining area, and food prep zones
- Assist with food preparation, food handling, and bussing as needed
- Ensure proper food safety procedures are followed at all times
- Manage order flow during peak hours to minimize wait times
- Support team members with general duties such as restocking supplies and maintaining sanitation
Skills
- Previous experience in food service, quick service & fast food restaurants, or café environments
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods effectively
- Ability to work well within a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers
