Responsibilities
- Safely operate your tractor-trailer on over-the-road (OTR) routes, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Manage the loading and unloading process, including manual handling of cargo such as logistics cargo or hazardous materials, ensuring proper load securement and compliance with hazardous materials regulations.
- Navigate using GPS systems to optimize routes for efficiency and timely deliveries across diverse locations.
- Transport a variety of freight types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or dump trucks, depending on the assignment.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with all safety protocols.
- Load and unload cargo accurately while maintaining proper documentation for each shipment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered during transit.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the cargo type (e.g., Hazmat, Tanker).
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across long distances.
- Familiarity with truck loading/unloading procedures and logistics cargo handling techniques.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for dangerous goods transportation.
- Experience operating different types of trucks such as tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds or tanker trucks.
- Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles and perform manual handling tasks safely.
- Strong understanding of route planning using GPS navigation tools to maximize efficiency.

Pay: $2,382.11 - $2,473.08 per week
