Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to operate a food truck, delivering delicious meals to various locations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely navigating routes, maintaining the food truck, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and professionalism to ensure a positive experience for customers and smooth daily operations.
Duties
- Safely operate and drive the food truck along designated routes to various delivery points.
- Ensure timely delivery of food items while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections of the food truck to ensure cleanliness, proper functioning, and compliance with health standards.
- Assist with loading and unloading supplies, ingredients, and equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Interact professionally with customers at delivery locations, providing friendly service when applicable.
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents or damage during transportation.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly to management.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating trucks or similar vehicles; experience with food trucks is preferred.
- Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations related to commercial vehicle operation.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance tasks.
- Physical ability to load/unload supplies and stand for extended periods when necessary.
