Experienced (REQUIRED) Veterinary Assistant needed for busy, small animal private practice in Marshall, Virginia. Marshall Veterinary Clinic is looking for a long term, full-time veterinary assistant who is hard working, positive, outgoing, responsible and reliable to join our small family-like team of professional veterinary medical care providers. The best candidate will have a solid skillset in the following areas: admitting and discharging patients, animal handling and restraint, processing laboratory samples, documenting medical history, cleaning and sterilizing equipment, knowledge of medication and medical terminology, and housekeeping required to maintain a clean and safe environment at all times. Candidate must be able to lift 50+lbs.
Candidate will be proficient at multi-tasking, have excellent communication skills with co-workers and clients, be able to work as a team and take direction from doctors and the head LVT. Must be able to work Monday through Saturday, morning and evening shifts. Competitive compensation will be based on experience.
